Childs Own Magazine - 1879London Sunday School Union; Various Sunday School Union, London B002AFX7D0 Hardcover Very Good B002AFX7D0 Beautifully and professionally re-bound, this little treasure has survived since the Victorian Era in beautiful condition. Front cover shows some loss and chipping to the front illustrated pictorial with a little bit of wear to the green hardcover boards. Binding is square and tight. Interior text is in excellent condition with no marks and age appropriate tanning. Front blank end paper sports previous owner's name in attractive handwriting and a small edge tear to the bottom of the page. Otherwise, this volume has been extremely well preserved with many exquisite engravings of flora, fauna and children dressed in period clothing. Full color illustration opposite the title page (pictured). Extremely rare, especially in this condition. Full of stories, songs, and verses for children with a Christian emphasis.
